MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Gunnedah Shire Council has released a detailed program covering the next six weeks of unsealed road maintenance activities. This program will be updated on a weekly basis. It is a guide only, as Council continually assesses roads and prioritises activities for completion.
As a result of the flood events, Council’s cyclic grading program and gravel roads re-sheeting program has been affected.
Many roads will require reshaping and table drain formation as part of the maintenance program prior to re-sheeting (if applicable).
Maintenance grading and re-sheeting is prioritised and undertaken consistent with allocated funds.
The quicker cyclic maintenance grading program will commence once the more time-consuming reshaping works are completed.
Council asks for your patience as it addresses these issues. Please drive to prevailing road conditions and do not enter closed roads.
