Autumn School Holiday Program launched

4 April 2018

From superhero training; acrobatics and movement workshops; pushy races and pottery; to movie afternoons; storytelling; a cooking class; and a scavenger hunt, there is plenty on offer to entertain young people on Gunnedah Shire Council’s Autumn School Holiday Program (15 April – 26 April).

The program kicks off with Superhero Training on Monday, 15 April, a new addition, brought to the community by Action Reaction Entertainment. Superhero Training is a fun-filled event featuring a Superhero Acrobatics Show, plus games and activities presented by costumed hosts. Children are invited to attend dressed as their favourite superhero.

“We are collaborating with Action Reaction Entertainment for the Autumn school holidays to bring some fun, new activities to the program,” Gunnedah Shire Council’s Youth Development Officer Sewa Emojong said.

“The group will also present an acrobatics and movement workshop and film and stage fighting workshop.”

Another new addition to the program is Pushy Races, held in conjunction with Youth Week, Council has partnered with the Gunnedah Cycling and Triathlon Club to host the event at the Gunnedah Go-Kart Track on Hunts Road.

“The program is designed to provide really fun and engaging activities for the youth of the Shire to keep them busy over the holidays,” Ms Emojong said.

“School holidays are always a great time to develop new skills and participate in fun activities, so come and join the fun!”
