Gunnedah Shire Council has enacted a Coronavirus Response Strategy detailing our response to this threat to the health and economy of our Shire. This strategy is reviewed regularly by Council to ensure it is in line with State and Federal Government Coronavirus measures, and prescribes the best possible way forward for Gunnedah Shire. Our priorities remain the health and safety of Gunnedah Shire residents and our staff, and the continued delivery of essential services. From July 12, 2021 use of the Service NSW QR code will be mandatory at all NSW workplaces and retail businesses. Please chat to our friendly staff if you need assistance checking in at Council facilities.
Currently, Gunnedah Shire is in the yellow stage of our yellow-orange-red response strategy. We are absolutely committed to keeping our community and businesses informed and to listening to their concerns.
The following list shows the current operational status of Gunnedah Shire Council services and facilities. The status of these services has been decided following consideration of public health orders issued by the NSW Government, direction from the Office of Local Government and Gunnedah Shire Council’s own Coronavirus Response Strategy. We will continue to monitor updates from the NSW Government and provide status updates when public health orders allow for reopening of other services.
