Yes. Ask the staff to see if it is available through Inter-Library Loan.. It may take a few weeks and a fee may apply. The more information you have about the item, the easier the process will be.

Ask the library staff to reserve it for you, or look it up yourself through the online catalogue and place a reservation.

Notify the library staff as soon as possible. They will advise you what to do. Don’t worry, it isn’t painful!

The library has an after-hours chute to the left of the door. Just hold the flap open and push your items through. They will be returned by the library staff the following working day.

No. The library would rather have the books back than charge you. Renewing your loan will avoid a reminder letter. Just ring the library or renew through the online catalogue. Long overdue items or items reserved by another member cannot be renewed.

Yes. When you find an item on the catalogue you wish to borrow, click on the small box beside the title. You can select multiple items per page. Click on Add to Basket at the bottom of the page. When you have finished, click on View Basket. This will show you a list of the items you have added. You can select the items to reserve and click Reserve Selections, or Reserve All to reserve all the items in your basket. You will need to use your log-in details (Barcode number + date of birth) to finalise the reservations.

Yes. Log in through Member Services on the online catalogue to see the items you have out on loan. Your library card number is the User ID: and your date of birth (ddmmyyy) is the password.

You can keep the items for four weeks. If you haven’t finished with them, extend them by ringing the library, asking at the counter or by logging into Member Services.

You can borrow up to 20 items at a time, this includes books, paperbacks, magazines, or audiobooks.

The library is open between 9.30am and 5.30pm every Monday – Thursday. They are open 9.00am to 4.30pm on Friday, and 9.30am to 1.00pm on Saturday. Computer access ends 30 minutes before the library closes.
